5 Reasons.. why New Moon could be good?

uzzSugar has an article describing five reasons they are optimistic about New Moon–it’s interesting to read this type of thing from a non-fan’s perspective. They said that Twilightwas a bit of a critical dissapointment:

"The faithful flocked to theaters, but some folks new to the story left wondering what all the hype is about. I’m hoping the next movie in this saga, New Moon, will be an improvement over the first one when it hits theaters later this year. While I’m sure it’ll be huge no matter what, I’d rather it be good!

• A Freer Adaptation of the Book
• Two Words: Wolf Pack
• Cool Special Effects
• It Might Be Scary
• Quality Casting: New Moon has attracted some honest-to-goodness thespians like Michael Sheen and talented youngsters like Dakota Fanning. I think that says a lot about the strength of the script and the faith folks have in the direction this installment of the franchise is going.

Twilight baddie Cam Gigandet has named the baby daughter that his girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff had on April 14th. Her name is Everleigh Ray Gigandet :) so cute.

For those of you who are going to be missing him in New Moon, he will be joining up with Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester, in a thriller called, The Roommate.

Channing Tatum in Eclipse?

New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg desparately wants superhunk Channing Tatum to star as child-army leader Riley in the Eclipse movie that David Slade will direct. This was said on E!

Have you ever spotted any goofs in Twilight, where the continutity visually between scenes is broken? A few seconds of film can take hours to shoot, and things are bound to go wrong as things get moved around and re-shot.

Privacy screens were erected at the set of Bella’s House to prevent curious onlookers from seeing what was going on while they filmed the first night of shots at the house.

Eclipse DIRECTOR and "I'm not going to give up.."

Meet David Slade. Your official Eclipse director.

David Slade, director of Hard Candyand 30 Days of Night has been officially confirmed as the director of the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse. Eclipse is scheduled to come out on June 30, 2010 and the quick-paced production schedule necessitated a new director instead of New Moon’s Chris Weitz. The press release from Summit follows–

Los Angeles, CA April 22, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that David Slade has been hired to direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on the Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The announcement was made by Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production.

Meyer stated, “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing ECLIPSE. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that ECLIPSE will be carrying on with that tradition.”

Feig said, “Stephenie Meyer’s ECLIPSE is a muscular, rich, vivid book and we at Summit looked long and hard for a director who could do it justice. We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds. We cannot wait to see the ECLIPSE he brings to life and brings to the fans eagerly awaiting its arrival in summer of 2010.”

Filmmaker Slade came to prominence as a director for his work on 2006’s engrossing film HARD CANDY starring Academy Award® Nominated actress Ellen Page as well as directing 2007’s genre hit 30 DAYS OF NIGHT which opened to number one at the box office its first weekend of release.

In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Oh Jacob fans, you're going to want to watch this.

Chris Weitz has revealed an interesting detail on how the shapeshifting werewolves in New Moon will appear once they transform into wolf form. Though they will be computer generated creatures the size of horses, the eyes will be digitally pasted on from the actors’ actual eyes, in order to make them as realistic as possible. Weitz also notes that the wolf pack has been bonding quite a bit in preparation for their roles–

"The Twilight sequel is filming now, and between takes, the actors usually are working out with barbells, doing push-ups or chowing down on steak, Weitz says. “They went through wolf camp together, and they are in constant training. It paid off as a bonding thing for them and helped them to get to know one another. They drove each other to get more buff.”

A sneak peek at the pool they will be using to do Bella's cliff diving scene. Has said that *SPOILER* Edwards face will appear in the water!

Breaking Dawn, Spring 2010?

MTV is reporting that Breaking Dawn will also be made into a film, and may begin filming in Spring 2010! This has not been confirmed by Summit (but if they don't confirm it soon, I am going to make the movie MYSELF!)

"Breaking Dawn" has reportedly gotten the green light by Summit Entertainment, as the fourth movie in the "Twilight" saga. The franchise's second film, "New Moon," is currently filming in Vancouver.

TheWrap.com reports that a source close to the film's production said that "Breaking Dawn" will start shooting in the spring of 2010. At press time, a Summit Entertainment rep had not responded to MTV News' request for comment.

Lots of stuff guys so pay attention! Was trying to put this off until later today but I finished prom shopping since I am not going anymore. Who needs a prom dress when you can get a Wii Fit!? Lol.

There is an article out that says all 10 of the scenes that BETTER not be cut out of New Moon the movie!

Listen Up Summit! 
Please don’t misunderstand; we’re not angling to be on the 'Twilight Sucks' boards. Like you, we think that every bit of New Moon should be in the movie. We don’t want to miss one minute of the undead goodness. But if we were forced to make a choice about which 10 scenes make it - say someone was holding a stake to our heart- these are the scenes we absolutely, positively think should be included in the film.

Emma Watson, Harry Potter, has told MTV how proud of Rob she is of his success. Do you think Rob will attend HP's premiere?

"Watson said she was thrilled to see her hunky “Goblet of Fire” and “Order of the Phoenix” co-star graduate to become one of Hollywood’s most promising young leading men since, well, Daniel Radcliffe. “Obviously, I know Rob,” she explained. “I’m just gob-smacked by the level of excitement and hype around ‘Twilight.’ I’m very happy for Rob that it’s been so successful.”

And although RPattz likes to play up his shock and confusion over all those shrieking, Sharpie-waving fans, Emma insisted that she knew all along that he’d someday become like the Beatles all rolled into one. “Of course I did; he is incredibly handsome!” she grinned. “He is a very, very handsome man, so I’m not too surprised.”

Before I get to our Jokesters, New Moon is defidently facing some tough competition this year in the movie business. The new HP movie (sorta zzz), Transformers 2 (zzzz) , Startrek (triple zzzz) and some kind of X-Men movie. I will be going to see HP and Transformers 2 but I won't be excited for those 2 as I am for New Moon. Do you guys think New Moon is going to the hit the box office's roof? The Twilight Examiner thinks so--

"Not only will The Twilight Saga: New Moon be within the top 50 most successful films of 2009, but I dare say it will rank number one.

While, as a fan of the Harry Potter series myself, I can anticipate that this summer’s release will be on par with the success of the prior films, and could see it lingering at the number one spot for the year for some time, New Moon’s unprecedented fan community (who, one can safely imagine, will see the film once, twice, three times or more) will propel the film to the top instantaneously. With up-coming films such as Where the Wild Things Are and Transformers 2, it is imaginable that New Moon will have sturdy competition in the blockbuster arena, but I still think that with the millions of eager nail-biting fans out there for New Moon that the film will take the number one spot and that it will close the year as the number one film for 2009."

A Goodmorning Bundle of News!

Even though the pictures are kind of blurry, these are the first of the NEW Cullen house in Vancouver! When you first look at it, defidently looks different (minus all the windows on the house and trees on the premises). Does anyone else not like this cover? I am a huge KStew fan but I am just not feeling this one. Also this is in spanish FYI, lol. In the spanish edition of Seventeen there is an article with Rob, they drop some interesting thoughts-

Do you have your hair that long for a reason?

We’re shooting New Moon soon. I’d love to get a buzz cut but I’m not sure. Plus, if I audition for something there will be people wanting to see some longer hair.

What were your dreams before you got into acting?

I wanted to be a pianist and play in London pubs.

There’s a song by you in the soundtrack, are you planning on releasing an album?

I’m not releasing an album, that would be too much!

Could Alice and Jasper Be A Real Couple Soon?

Ashley Greene had an awesome interview with the Australian Herald Sun where she talks about her new fame from Twilight, but ALSO talks about how their might be something going on between her and New Moon co-star Jackson Rathbone. AHHH!!!! Is all I have to say--

"He and I both don’t have time to date, but we do have amazing chemistry,” she says.

“We both have such big crushes on each other and it clearly shows. We got along instantly and the day we met, he was teaching me how to swing dance.

“He (Rathbone) does everything. He sings, he dances, and he’s so sweet. Even my mum has a crush on him and tells me, ‘You should date him’. So, who knows, maybe when we both stop running around the world.”  

And on a personal notice. Went shopping today. I got new sunglasses from Charlotte Russe along with some new nail polish (black and pink) since it's about summertime and not to mention SANDAL WEATHER. (I also got a shirt from American Eagle). But I also got the WHOLE Vampire Academy series and I am pretty addicted to far :).

Birthday Outfits Reviled and Christian Serratos DONE FILMING!

Well this defidently gets me excited for New Moon. Vancity Allie has put out a whopping amount of pictures from the Birthday Party and the outfits! Her blog read this-

“We were just about to give up hope when some headlights blinded us and a white SUV pulled up… but instead of screeching off like normal… they SLOWED DOWN!

And believe it or not… Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kristen Stewart (Bella), and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) in full hair and make up got out of the van! Peter said, “We just have to get out and give you girls hugs for waiting all this time!” Hugs all around."

Can New Moon PLEASE get finished filming already? Ugh.

Well New Moon is certainly moving along at a rapid pace. Christian Serratos is already done filming her scenes thanks to a new post-

"I am finished filming New Moon. It was great to see everyone one again!

Chris Weitz was great! I can’t believe that I have been so fortunate to have worked with such talented people in such a short time. Stephenie, Catherine, Chris and more. I am so grateful! This time around I felt more comfortable letting the team know that when I was dressed as Angela, I and Angela would prefer to be dressed animal cruelty free and they obliged. They were awesome! I’m so thankful that they went out of there way to find items that did not have animal products in them. It was touching."

She had arrived 12 days ago (April 6th).

First off, Bella house in Vancouver. Rebuilt there instead of where they filmed it originally in Twilight. Check out the pictures and video :). Do you guys think it looks the same as in Twilight? I think it looks a tad different but I wouldn't have noticed if they didn't tell us they were rebuilding.
